Ducklings Successful Release

After 2 months care and attention the saved ducklings were finally released into the river today.

Helped by friend and trust member George Stephen with transport to the riverside, I opened the boxes and let them taste the new habitat.

They were quickly into their element and sampled the algae from the stones, something completely new to them. I think most of them are females and quickly drew admirers from the drake population,

some of them were given short shrift from our youngsters. It has been a lot of work over the last two months, so I am glad to see them safely into the river.
